Two Macedonian Policemen Injured In Grenade Attack

SKOPJE, Macedonia (AP)--A man stopped by police in Macedonia's capital on suspicion of possessing weapons threw a hand grenade at the officers, seriously injuring two policemen, authorities said Tuesday. 

The unidentified assailant was also injured in Monday night's blast but managed to escape, police said. The incident occurred in a predominantly ethnic Albanian part of the capital, Skopje. 

The two officers were in stable condition at a Skopje hospital.
