GRACANICA -- A Kosovo Serb man was stabbed on Sunday [1 February] in the village of Donja Bitinja, the municipality of Strpce.

Two Kosovo Albanians, one of whom has been arrested while the other is still on the run, are suspected of committing the attack, Tanjug has been told by the Kosovo police (KPS).

Director of the Clinical and Hospital Centre in Gracanica Stojan Sekulic told the news agency that 33-year-old Dejan Stanojevic was admitted to the surgical ward with two stabbing wounds, but that his life is not in danger.

The village of Donja Bitina has an ethnically mixed population. Besides Serbs, who constitute the majority, Kosovo Albanians also live in the village.
