KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Thursday – KFOR troops south of Kosovska Mitrovica this afternoon evacuated a group of Serbian Orthodox nuns from the Devic monastery near Srbica shortly before a mob of about a thousand armed Albanians looted the building and set it on fire.

The wave of violence also spread to the municipality of Novo Brdo, where a new municipal building in the village of Bostane was razed, the Kosovo Coordination Centre said this evening.

A large number of buildings in the municipality built over the past three years have been destroyed, said the Centre.

All Serbs have been evacuated from the village of Stara Kolonojia in Novo Brdo, following evacuations from nearby Bica and Grabac.
