Bomb disarmed in Presevo

PRESEVO -- Saturday – An explosive device was today disarmed near the municipal police headquarters of Presevo, just moments before it was set to explode.

The device had been planted near the headquarters of the Presevo force and was accidentally discovered at 7.35 this morning.

The device had been set to explode at 8:00am, but local police managed to successfully disarm it with just 20 minutes to spare.

The area surrounding Serbia’s southernmost municipality police HQ has now been sealed off while police and investigation bodies conduct their investigation.

Those in attendance include the investigative judge of the Vranje municipal court, representatives of the EU monitoring mission and members of the Coordination team for southern Serbia.
