FIRES STARTED IN EMPTY SERB HOUSES IN OBILIC
Beta - March 9, 2004

Obilic, 9 March: On Monday (8 March) evening, a fire was started in the house of Mosa Bojkovic in Obilic, Serb sources in Kosovo have told Beta.

Three nights ago a fire was also started in the house of Cedomir Nikic, the same sources reported. Apart from material damage, there were no casualties.

Nobody was present in the houses of the two Serbs at the time of the fire. Organization Habitat a few days earlier evicted the Albanian families that had moved in by force in 1999.

The police confirmed the fires had been set off deliberately but did not provide any other details.
