Socialists to run in presidential election
Beta - March 10, 2004

BELGRADE -- Wednesday – The deputy leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia, Milorad Vucelic, said today that he is certain that the party will field its own candidate for Serbian president.

That candidate will have the backing of party leader Slobodan Milosevic, he added.

Speaking to TV Palma Plus, Vucelic said that what he described as the ugly rumours that Milosevic will defect to the Serbian Radical Party should be seen in this light.
