BELGRADE -- Tuesday – Rade Bulatovic, former
national security advisor to Yugoslav president Vojislav Kostunica, today
dismissed accusations that he held meetings with Zemun gangsters as “untrue and
unfounded”.
Attacking disreputable media institutions, Bulatovic said that the information
about him “which has been broadcast on Belgrade television for the second
consecutive day” was completely false.
He continued: "Centres of media power, which intimidated media companies refer
to as 'government sources', are trying to draw attention from the protagonists
of all-encompassing evil in Serbia with lies and insinuations".
Bulatovic believes that an “atmosphere of media slavery” exists in Serbia and
that television Pink, BK and Studio B are carrying out a negative campaign
against him on the orders of the government’s information bureau.
Bulatovic concluded that the “personal, ethic and physical damage sustained by
me and my family will be fully compensated in court, if not in Serbia, then
certainly before the Council of Europe’s courts”.
