Orthodox
churches are of Catholic ancestry

PRISTINA -- Thursday -
Kosovo daily newspaper Bota Sot reported that “the Orthodox religious objects in
Kosovo are mostly of Illyrian ancestry."
The newspaper also accused that the destruction of these churches and
monasteries in the March riots was “a political scheme against the Kosovo
Albanians."
Accord to Bota Sot, the churches in Kosovo are from the Illyrian age, quoting
information from an unnamed “Kosovo archeologist,“ adding that before the
churches were “modified“ to look like objects of the Eastern Orthodox Christian
faith, they were objects of “the Catholic Illyrian Church, churches of western
Christianity."
