Socialists oust Kursumlija mayor

KURSUMLIJA -- Tuesday – The local council in Kursumlija, now under the control of the Socialist Party of Serbia, has dismissed Mayor Goran Bojovic.

Bojovic is the second member of the Prime Minister’s Democratic Party to be ousted as mayor in Kursumlija. Control of the municipality recently returned to Slobodan Milosevic’s Socialist Party of Serbia, after a break of two years.

Rade Milenkovic, the head of the local DOS caucus, blamed a internal rift within the Democratic Party.
