ONE POLICE OFFICER KILLED, TWO WOUNDED IN AMBUSH IN KOSOVO

Pec, 24 November: One member of the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) (ShPK in Albanian) was killed and two were wounded in an armed attack this morning along the Pec-Decani road, Beta has been told by sources in Kosovo. The attack on the three police officers has been confirmed also by the KPS headquarters in Pristina.

The motives of the attack, which occurred a little before 0800 (0700 gmt), are not known. The official statement issued by the police does not reveal the identity of the killed policemen or their nationality.
