Sarajevo, 6 January: The deputy chairman of the B-H [Bosnia-Hercegovina] Council
of Ministers and security minister, Tarik Sadovic [Muslim], condemned today the
shedding of innocent blood in the Gaza Strip and sent an appeal for the
immediate cessation of hostilities and delivery of humanitarian aid to the
Palestine people, whose biological survival is under threat.
"I condemn the shedding of innocent blood in the Holy Land. I express my support
for the endangered Palestinian people. I believe all peoples who live there
should have a just peace," Sadovic said at a press conference in Sarajevo.
He pointed out that it was the Israeli army which launched a big offensive "on
this piece of territory heavily populated by Palestinians", believing that this
was all timed to happen in the period during the change of the US government.
"It seems all targets are legitimate for the savage force and the brutal attacks
of Israel. I believe there is no justification for the murder of civilians,
women and children," Sadovic emphasized.
Assessing that the international community, above all the USA and European
Union, could stop this David and Goliath conflict, the security minister pointed
out that the citizens of B-H themselves have felt what the passiveness of the
international community and the consequences of such a policy means.
Sadovic said that he would be asking the B-H Council of Ministers to help the
Palestinians by sending necessary humanitarian aid.
