KFOR SEARCH OF KOSOVO SERB HOMES IS "PRESSURE"
- SERBIAN BODY
BBC Monitoring International Reports - January 6, 2005
Text of report by Serbian independent news agency FoNet
Belgrade, 5 January: The Coordination Centre for Kosovo-Metohija said today that
Kfor (NATO-led Kosovo Force) had started a systematic search of Serb houses in
Kosovo, which was done by units of various international forces' contingents in
a coordinated and synchronized manner.
"The Coordination Centre states that Albanian areas are not being searched, not
even those places where cases of fire being opened or direct assaults on
international community representatives have been registered," the statement
warns.
Unilateral actions or pressure, such as searching Serb houses or cutting power
in Serb areas, are directly counterproductive in terms of the overall security
in the province and contrary to international community's proclaimed aims, the
statement from the Coordination Centre said.
