TV report pins blame for crash on French NATO unit

SARAJEVO -- Tuesday – French members of the NATO-led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia bear full responsibility for the plane crash in which Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski died on Thursday, Bosnian state television reported last night, citing police sources.

According to the report, the French air-traffic controller spoke French during communication with the pilot, while the police source claimed a fault had accurred with the radar monitoring the Macedonian government plane three days earlier.

Trajkovski, six aides and two crew members were killed when the ageing executive jet crashed in southern Bosnia.
