ZAGREB -- Friday - Former
Macedonian Minister of Internal Affairs, who is wanted for the murder of seven
immigrants several years ago, Ljuba Boskovski, has fled to Croatia.
According to Croatian police, by law he cannot be arrested and given to
Macedonian authorities, because he has Croatian citizenship as well.
“We cannot arrest him, unless Macedonia is willing to give the Croatian police
full control of the case." Said Police spokesperson Zlatko Mehun, adding, “We
have made this clear to the Macedonian police and are waiting for an answer."
Boskovski has been on the run since Tuesday.
