Text of report by Serbian independent news agency FoNet

Kosovska Mitrovica, 7 May: After [a] stone-throwing [incident], a bomb was planted at the gate of Snezana Cvetinic's house in the ethnically-mixed neighbourhood of Bosanska Mahala, in the northern [mainly Serb] part of Kosovska Mitrovica, last night at 0200 [0000 gmt].

Police found the hand grenade, which had its safety pin removed and [the lever] stuck down with a plaster, after neighbours reported stones being thrown at Cvetnic's house at 0200.

The unknown attackers ran in the direction of [ethnic] Albanian homes, according to eyewitnesses.

At the time of the attack, Snezana Cvetnic was in her house with her son Nemanja and daughter Jelena.

It is lucky that the Cvetnic family did not leave their home after the stone-throwing as they would have activated the bomb by opening the gate, FoNet was told by an international policeman at the scene.

Special Kfor [NATO-led Kosovo Force] units deactivated and removed the bomb 40 minutes later.
