RUSSIAN ENVOY CONGRATULATES NEWLY-ELECTED SERBIAN SPEAKER

Belgrade, 8 May: Speaker Tomislav Nikolic received Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Alekseyev today, who congratulated him on the election to the post of Speaker and conveyed the congratulations of Russian Federation Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov and Deputy Speaker Sergey Baburin, as well as by Russian Federation Council President Sergey Mironov.

Nikolic thanked him on the support to date and expressed his conviction that the two countries' bilateral relations would continue to develop successfully, and that parliamentary cooperation above all would strengthen, the assembly press office has stated.
