Kosovska Mitrovica, 4 July: The Office of the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija in
Kosovska Mitrovica has said that a large number of ethnic Albanians today around
1430 hrs [1230 gmt] attacked local ethnic Serbs in Suvi Do village.
"A large group of Albanians, in an attempt to dig canals for sewage pipes on
private Serb property, attacked the Serbs in Suvi Do village using stones and
firearms," a statement said.
UNMIK [UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo] and Kfor [NATO-led Kosovo
Force] members arrested brothers Arslan and Dardan Peci and prevented them from
firing shots at Serbs from their rifles, the office said.
