BBC Monitoring International Reports - August 3, 2005
Text of report by Serbian independent news agency FoNet
Kosovska Mitrovica, 3 August: The head of Kosovsko-Pomoravlje County, Milorad
Todorovic, today told FoNet that an explosive device had been planted outside
the house of Milivoje Nisic in the Cernica village near Gnjilane in the night
between 29 and 30 July.
The device did not go off, because Nisic's wife Jasminka promptly reported the
incident to the Kosovo Protection Corps [TMK in Albanian] which removed the
device.
Of more than 700 Serbs who lived in Cernica before the arrival of Kfor [NATO-led
Kosovo Force], there are around 160 of them remaining. Around 2,000 Albanians
live in the village.
