Belgrade, 24 August: Serbian Coordination Centre for Kosovo-Metohija today most
sharply condemned the latest incidents in the province.
Education worker Vuko Danilovic who was with a group of children trying to
articulate the need for multiethnicity and joint life [in an OSCE-organized
camp] was brutally beaten up in Decani [on 23 August] only because he is a Serb,
while in Pristina, St Nicholas church was most probably desecrated today, too,
for who knows how many times, and Kfor [NATO-led Kosovo Force] refused to ensure
an escort for [Raska Prizren] Bishop Artemije so that he could assess what had
been done, a statement by the Coordination Centre said.
It was added that the international community and international public must
gather courage and face the truth because "the truth and reality in Kosovo begin
with Albanians' terror against Serbs".
