Kosovo Serb
politician says ethnic Albanians "realize violence pays off"
BBC Monitoring Europe (Political) - September 24, 2006, Sunday

Kosovska Mitrovica, 24 September: A member of the Serb List for Kosovo-Metohija
[SLKM, headed by Oliver Ivanovic], Randjel Nojkic, today told FoNet that it was
close to impossible for the graffiti of the Albanian National Army [ANA, AKSh in
Albanian] and Front of Albanian National Unity [FBKSh in Albanian] to appear on
the buildings of several public institutions in Klina without anyone being able
to find out who had done it.
Klina, near Istok, is the only town in Kosovo that wanted to return the Serbs,
and the Serbs, for their part, were ready to return to their houses and
apartments in Klina, which some people, obviously, saw as a danger, and so
attacks, a murder, and threatening graffiti had started, Nojkic said.
He said that "the Albanians realized that violence pays off for them, that they
are rewarded for it, and so they carry out violent acts against Serbs in
Kosovo".
