BBC Monitoring Europe (Political) - January 4, 2006 Wednesday

Text of report by Serbia-Montenegrin radio Kontakt Plus on 3 January

[Announcer] The flat belonging to 73-year-old Dragica Jovanovic in the Ulpijana settlement in Pristina was stoned three nights ago [on New Year's Eve].

A group of hooligans smashed the windows on Dragica's apartment, but, fortunately, she was not injured.

They first threw a petard around 2100 [2000 gmt] through the open terrace door, which exploded in my room, and 20 minutes after midnight they smashed my windows with stones, Dragica Jovanovic has told KiM radio.

Dragica is one of some 100 remaining Serbs in Pristina who, in spite of great pressures and numerous provocations, has not left her hometown.
