Macedonia Information Agency - June 3, 2003

Skopje, 3 June: A certain Avdul Jakupi Cakala, who identifies himself as representative of "the real ANA Albanian National Army - AKSh in Albanian ", calls upon all Albanians to start a war in Macedonia in two weeks, if his proposals - Macedonia to become a protectorate and establishment of a union between Kosovo and Albania - are not accepted.

"If the Macedonian protectorate and the ultimatum for a union Kosovo-Albania is not accepted, then we call upon all Albanians to start a war in Macedonia in two weeks. The real ANA will start the war, not the ANA of Gafur Adili," states the open letter of Cakala to all Albanians, which was published Tuesday 3 June in daily Albanian Fakti.

He says that the so-called real ANA asked for support for this proposal from the European Union and the United States.

"The people make the population, and the fatherland is the earth that the Albanian people tread on. Our fatherland will never merge if we listen to the Albanian politicians," Cakala states, adding that regardless of the will of politicians, "Albania will be united one day".

He underlines that he does not intend to accept the agreement between DUI Democratic Union for Integration - BDI in Albanian leader Ali Ahmeti and representatives of the Council for Liberation of the from Kumanovo Village Sopot, according to which, a committee is established that has the objective to evaluate whether the policemen overstepped their authorities during the action.

Two villagers were arrested in the police action in Sopot 10 days ago, which was carried out in order to reveal the perpetrators of the mine planting near the village that killed two members of the NATO Polish contingent, as well as two civilians.
