Podgorica: The great hero Slobodan Milosevic has ended his life without being
able to see his accusers and enemies defeated and crushed underfoot, it was said
at today's commemorative session of the People's Socialist Party (NSS) of
Montenegro.
The NSS had broken away from the Socialist People's Party and remained loyal to
the policy of Slobodan Milosevic. Former Montenegrin President [and chief
Milosevic ally in the rump Yugoslavia] Momir Bulatovic is the honorary president
of the NSS.
NSS President Novo Vujosevic has said that Milosevic was a charismatic
personality who can only be born once in 100 years.
"We shall never forgive the evil-doers who deprived Slobodan of his family
hearth, his family's protection and warmth, family bliss and joy," he said.
According to Vujosevic, only a highly malevolent person could have broken up and
dispersed the family of a man who loved it so much. "I am convinced that
Milosevic found this no easier to bear than the serious illness that was
persistently and systematically destroying him".
Vujosevic said that Milosevic's death had prevented "our" Momir Bulatovic from
showing and expressing himself as a superior witness at the trial, as a
time-tested a loyal friend of the former president of Serbia and The Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia.
"We know that Momir is having a hard time, but we are here to help him,
encourage him and thank him for everything he has done and everything he wanted
to do for our and his Slobodan, for our true inspiration and paragon," Vujosevic
said.
He said that the NSS was proud of the fact that it was an inheritor of
Milosevic's name and legacy.
"We are proud of what others must not and cannot be proud of," the NSS leader
said.
Vujosevic pointed out that Milosevic had disappeared physically, but that he was
already on top of Mt Olympus. "From there will ascend into heaven, where he will
become a heavenly figure of a heavenly nation".
The NSS has published an obituary for Milosevic which says that it is parting
from "from the best son of the Serbian nation in the past century".
"For all sincere Serbian patriots you will remain a symbol of courage, liberty,
humanity and resistance, while for those who have soiled their hands with your
and our misfortune you will be an eternal warning and indelible stain of
disgrace with which they will remain branded forever," the NSS said.
