Excerpt from report by Montenegrin Mina news agency
Pristina, 7 May: The Pristina municipality assembly has reached a decision on
building a monument and memorial park dedicated to [WWII] fascist collaborators.
This decision envisages the construction of a memorial park covering 1.5
hectares and a memorial at the place where the then Yugoslav authorities and
Partisans executed fascist collaborators - members of the Second Prizren League
[league was organized under the auspices of the Abwehr, German military
intelligence].
According to [Belgrade-based daily] Glas javnosti, the [Second] Prizren League
was founded in 1943 in Prizren at the Gestapo's initiative. [Passage omitted]
The Prizren League's involvement through its armed formations in the
extermination of Kosovo Jews has been assessed as one of the most shameful
episodes in Kosovo's history.
