BOSNIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY IGNORED IN SERB
REPUBLIC
Onasa - March 1, 2003
Banja Luka, 1 March: The BiH Bosnia-Hercegovina Independence Day - 1 March is
not being celebrated in the Republika Srpska RS - Bosnian Serb Republic and most
of its politicians and citizens believe that it is being marked only in the part
of the Federation with the Bosniak Muslim majority...
Most people in the RS does not even know that 1 March is the BiH Independence
Day, while the officials believe that it more symbolizes the war that followed
the referendum on BiH independence, held on 29 February and 1 March 1992.
