IRANIAN DELEGATION TOURS BOSNIA'S ZENICA-DOBOJ CANTON

Zenica, 31 May: An Iranian delegation is today visiting Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) and has met with Canton officials of Zenica municipality, Islamic Community and Muslim humanitarian group "Merhamet" on further development of cooperation in the culture and humanitarian field.

After the meeting in ZDK seat, an agreement on cooperation was signed by the Iranian ambassador in BiH [Bosnia-Hercegovina], Seyed Mahmoud Sadri, and Prime Minister of the ZDK Nedzad Polic.

The agreement predicts that the Iranian government invests 65,000 KM [convertible marks] for completing the construction of three mosques, one in Kasapovici, Zenica municipality, and two in the area of Teslic.

A sum of 120,000 KM will be invested for assistance to Cantonal Hospital Zenica and "Merhamet".

A total of 100,000 KM will be invested for development of agriculture and cattle breeding, as well as joint construction with the Zenica municipality a playground for the primary school "Skender Kulenovic" in Zenica.

The agreement also predicts enlargement of the cultural cooperation within which cultural, civilization and modern achievements of Iran will be featured during the event "Iranian Day of Culture" in Zenica.
