URGENT: Imposing Kosovo status solution from outside inadmissible - Putin

SOCHI, January 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russia stands against the Kosovo status solution to be imposed from outside, President Vladimir Putin said after a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel Sunday.

"Russia believes it inadmissible to impose the Kosovo status solution from outside. A long-term solution to the problem can be achieved only if it is acceptable both for Belgrade and Pristina," Putin said.
