MAROVIC ELECTED FIRST PRESIDENT OF SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO

At 1806 gmt Montenegrin Radio interrupted its regular news bulletin to announce that Svetozar Marovic was elected first president of the new union of Serbia and Montenegro at a session of the new union parliament. Marovic is expected to take the oath and address the public after a 10-minute break.
