Prof. dr Mirko Zurovac, profesor Filozofskog fakulteta u Beogradu, Dr Branko Rakic, docent Pravnog fakulteta u Beogradu, Mr Vladimir Krsljanin, ambasador i Momo Raicevic, advokat, o Hagu i sudbini Srbije.
ZLOUPOTREBA VANREDNOG STANJA

Press conference by the "Sloboda" Association of the Yugoslav Committee for the Defense of Slobodan Milosevic. Prof. Dr. Mirko Zurovac, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Dr. Branko Rakic, assistant professor at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, Vladimir Krsljanin, M.A., ambassador and Momo Raicevic, lawyer, about The Hague and the destiny of Serbia
STATE OF EMERGENCY ABUSED

"The Hague Tribunal is a political institution which has nothing to do with law and justice, and its only purpose is to accuse the Serbs of all crimes committed during the past war," said professor Dr. Mirko Zurovac, adding that the illegal Tribunal is given legitimacy by the cooperation of the current authorities in Serbia who extradited their citizens to The Hague in contravention of the constitution. Zurovac also referred to the proclamation of the state of emergency in the country, saying that the authorities used the assassination of Prime Minister Djindjic for a showdown with political dissenters.

Dr Branko Rakic added that the president of Sloboda Association Bjelica had been arrested and that his lawyers were prevented from contacting him, so that the reasons for the arrest were unknown. Rakic pointed out that Serbia should protect its citizens while cooperating with The Hague Tribunal.

Momo Raicevic emphasized that the state of emergency prohibited any comments on the decisions of the state bodies, which was contrary to the Serbian constitution. Uros Suvakovic was also imprisoned, but despite several inquiries, the representatives of the police failed to give an explanation of the reasons for his arrest and, moreover, no contacts with the arrested were possible.
