IVAN STAMBOLIC’S BODY FOUND - SPS AND JUL UNDER ATTACK

The body of the former Serbian President, Ivan Stambolic has been found buried on Mount Fruska Gora, in Serbia’s northern Vojovodina province. (1)  Mr. Stambolic disappeared on August 25, 2000 while jogging in Kosutnjak, in suburban Belgrade. (2)

The Serbian interior minister, Dusan Mihailovic exclaimed at a press conference on March 28, 2003 that "The investigation has established that Stambolic's execution was politically motivated," describing the killing as "the greatest mystery of the former regime".

He said: "The aim was to remove Stambolic as a possible candidate in the presidential elections and this clearly shows who might have ordered his execution." (1)

On August 10, 2000 the DOS formally announced that the candidate they would run in the elections was Vojislav Kostunica (3), but Stambolic didn’t disappear until August 25, 2000.

When Stambolic disappeared his wife, Kaca ruled out a political motive saying. "He had no enemies; he did not want to go back to politics." (4) Moreover, prior to the nomination of Kostunica, Stambolic vocally advocated and lobbied that Goran Svilanovic be the joint DOS candidate against Milosevic. By doing so, Stambolic clearly disqualified himself as a candidate. (5)

It is clear that Dusan Mihailovic is lying; Stambolic was clearly no political threat to Milosevic. Slobodan Milosevic had no motive whatsoever to order the assassination of Ivan Stambolic.

Nevertheless, the Government of Serbia is blaming Milosevic, under these obviously false pretences, and using Stambolic’s death as an excuse to peruse a witch-hunt against the members of the SPS (Socialist Party of Serbia), and the members of the JUL (Yugoslav Left).

Members of the SPS and JUL have been arrested and more have warrants out against them. The president of the JUL, and wife of Slobodan Milosevic, Mira Markovic has an arrest warrant against her, and the JUL vice chairman Goran Matic has been arrested. The president of the SPS, Bogoljub Bjelica has also reportedly been arrested. (6)

The killings of Stambolic and Djindjic serve as a sort of “Reichstag Fire” for the so-called “democrats” in Belgrade. The so-called “democrats” blame their political opposition for the killings, like Hitler blamed his political opposition for the fire that burned down the Reichstag. The so-called “democrats” are using the killings, like Hitler used the fire, as an excuse to impose a police state and imprison their political opposition.

It is widely believed that the Nazis burned down the Reichstag themselves in order to create a pretext for the establishment the Nazi dictatorship in Germany. It wouldn’t surprise me if these so-called “democrats” carried out these killings themselves with the intention of blaming their opposition and creating a pretext for a dictatorship over Serbia.
