DACIC AND THE SOCIALISTS RESPONSIBLE FOR
KARADZIC ARREST

Yesterday afternoon Serbia's Action Team for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal
held a meeting which was presided over by Rasim Ljajić. At that meeting BIA
Director Saša Vukadinović and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić were present. Later
that same evening, former Bosnian-Serb president Dr. Radovan Karadzić was
arrested in Belgrade. Obviously this isn't a coincidence.
Dačić's Interior Ministry immediately issued a press release saying that the MUP
had nothing to do with the arrest. But the handwriting is on the wall, Dr.
Karadzić was arrested with the full knowledge and support of SPS president Dačić.
His hand wringing after the fact is no more credible than Vojislav Koštunica's
"indignation" when Slobodan Milošević was sent to The Hague.
It is obvious that Dr. Karadzić would not have been arrested unless the SPS had
given guarantees to Tadić and the Democrats that they wouldn't bring down the
government. Karadzic's identity and his whereabouts were probably long known to
official Belgrade -- they just couldn't arrest him without Koštunica and the
Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) bringing down the Government. The Serbian
Democratic Party (SDS), which was founded by Dr. Karadzić, and Koštunica's
Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) have a history of cooperation and friendly
relations.
While Koštunica was perfectly happy to bring-down a left-wing socialist like
Milošević and send him to The Hague regardless of the law or the negative
consequences that a conviction would mean for the Serbian nation -- it appears
that he did draw a line at arresting Dr. Karadzić who had an anti-Communist
political ideology similar to that of his own party.
It is not a coincidence that Dr. Karadzić was arrested less than a month after
the DSS was ousted from the government and the SPS took their place in a
coalition with Boris Tadić and the Democrats. The SPS stabbed its voters in the
back. In his final speech to the nation as president, Slobodan Milošević warned
his people that "the president of the Democratic Party collaborated with the
military alliance that attacked our country. He could not even hide his
collaboration. In fact, our entire public knows that he appealed to NATO to bomb
Serbia for as many weeks as necessary to break its resistance."
As part of its ongoing effort to deceive Serbia, the SPS sent a delegation to
"pay respects" at President Milošević's grave last Thursday. They even had the
nerve to include Žarko Obradović in that delegation, even though he was
caught on tape boasting of how the SPS deliberately sabotaged negotiations
with the DSS and the Serbian Radical Party in order to put the Democratic Party
in power. I'm sure that if that delegation of traitors was listening closely
enough while they were at his grave they would have heard Milošević turning-over
inside of it.
If the SPS really wanted to "pay respects" to Milošević they would stop using
his grave for a prop in their political deceptions and they would posthumously
expel him from the party. The SPS has no right to portray itself as the heir to
his legacy. President Milošević was an honorable man, the SPS is no longer the
party he founded and led for almost sixteen years. The SPS has become an
organization led by the most seditious group of fifth-columnists and traitors in
Serbia. Their only goal is to destroy Serbia and enrich themselves in the
process.
