Orahovac, 3 January: At 0850 [0750 gmt] this morning, a group of Albanians
stoned a bus carrying 55 Serbs in the village of Malisevo near Orahovac, a SRNA
correspondent has reported.
Guide Violeta Krstic told SRNA that the bus which was travelling on the
Orahovac-Kosovska Mitrovica route was accompanied by members of the Kosovo
police.
"In Malisevo a large group of Albanians showered the bus with bricks and stones.
None of the passengers was injured, but bus windows were broken," Krstic said.
Serb buses ply the Orahovac-Kosovska Mitrovica route twice a week - on Tuesdays
and Fridays.
Coordinator of the Orahovac municipality Dejan Baljosevic said that the attack
this morning was planned, because the bus passengers were Serbs who visited
their homes during New Year holidays intending to return in 2006.
