GROUP OF YOUNG ALBANIANS HARASS KOSOVO
SERB WOMAN IN MONTENEGRO
SRNA - January 16, 2004
Bar, 16 January: A group of Albanian young men harassed Ljubica Nedovic, a
37-year-old (Serb) refugee from Kosovo living in a Sutomore refugee camp, in Bar
(coastal town in Montenegro).
A group of 15 people insulted me in Albanian yesterday calling me a "skinja",
which is an abusive term for a Kosovo Serb. I tried to run away, but they caught
up and threw eggs at me, Nedovic told the press.
According to her, she was rescued by a female taxi driver, who stopped the
vehicle and gave her a lift to the centre of Bar, where the case was reported to
the police.
The police are searching for the young men who attacked Nedovic.
