POLICE FIND ARMS CACHE IN SOUTHERN SERBIA

Bujanovac, 21 January: Serbian MUP (Ministry of Internal Affairs) members today
found a large arms cache consisting of ammunition and grenades in the village of
Veliki Trnovac, near Bujanovac, which is inhabited by (ethnic) Albanians.
Forty thousand 7.9 mm and 7.62 mm calibre bullets and 48 grenades for a hand
held rocket launcher with 49 charges for grenades were hidden in a plastic
storage tank, with a volume of 750 litres, buried near the cemetery.
An investigation has been conducted at the scene by the Vranje district court
examining judge in the presence of the police and EU observer mission
representatives.
