Serbian town consents to Milosevic burial in
family front yard

Pozarevac, 16 March: The Municipal Assembly [MA] of Pozarevac today approved the
request that former Serbian and SRJ [Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, FRY]
President Milosevic be buried in the front yard of his family home in 41
Nemanjina Street in [his hometown of] Pozarevac.
It was also decided that the day of Milosevic's funeral, 18 March, be declared a
day of mourning for the municipality of Pozarevac area.
A 32-member funeral committee has been formed and will be headed by the
president of the Pozarevac Socialists, Miomir Ilic.
Milosevic's body will be placed on public display in the Pozarevac MA building,
for citizens who wish to do so to bid him last farewell.
