KOSOVO ALBANIANS ATTACK, WOUND SERB MAN IN VILLAGE - BOSNIAN SERB AGENCY
SRNA - April 8, 2004

Kosovo Polje, 8 April: Last night, at about 0300 (0100 gmt), (ethnic) Albanians beat up 19-year-old Serb Dejan Dobric - who is now recovering in Gracanica hospital "Simonida" - in the village of Vrelo in the Kosovo Polje area.

Hospital director Dragan Peric said that Dobric was admitted (to hospital) this morning with serious wounds to the head and lower limbs and that he was bleeding profusely from blows inflicted with blunt objects. (Passage omitted)

Dobric was stopped last night when coming back from seeing a neighbour, whose house is about 300 metres away from his house. When he regained consciousness this morning he walked across fields and arrived in Caglavica, situated 20 km from this place. Once there, a Serb man took him to the "Simonida" hospital in Gracanica.

Dobric lives in Vrsac, but he came to visit the family property in the village of Vrelo prior to 17 March, where 10 Serbs still live.
