USED TO TRANSPORT TERRORISTS IN BOSNIA, BALKANS
SRNA - May 8, 2004
Banja Luka, 8 May: Darko Trifunovic, an expert on international law and
terrorism, confirmed to SRNA today that the US Treasury Department had frozen
the assets of four humanitarian organizations registered in Bosnia-Hercegovina.
Trifunovic said that the Americans had frozen 139m dollars in assets and seized
60m dollars from the four organizations in Bosnia-Hercegovina - Al Furgan, Al
Haramain, Al Masjed al Agsa and Taibaihi Internesenel (Al Furqan, Al Haramain,
Al Masjed Al-Aqsa and Taibah International).
Trifunovic added that Abdulrahman Alfahad had close links with the charities in
Bosnia-Hercegovina and that he had used their money to set up the Rentakar
company which "used its cars to operate unnoticed in the Balkans, transporting
terrorists, drugs and explosives".
Trifunovic said that the German intelligence agency BND had received reports
that the Rentakar company was linked to the Saudi intelligence agency and he
recalled that it had been established earlier that "the Saudi High Commission is
involved in helping terrorists".
