Bugojno, 18 May: An expert team of the Canton Prosecutor's Office in Travnik and
the Federation Commission for Missing Persons has ended the exhuming of the
bodily remains of [1992-95] war victims from the Zlatarica site near Bugojno [in
central Bosnia]. The bodily remains of a total of 15 persons have been found so
far over the course of this and last year. Among the victims are the bodily
remains of two children.
On Monday, 16 May, the remains of six victims of war were exhumed - among them
were three totally preserved skeletons and three sets of bodily remains.
Among the exhumed are the skeletons of two children, who were the age of around
four and 13. The skeletal remains of at least four persons were exhumed
yesterday, on 17 May.
Federation Commission for Missing Persons head Marko Jurisic said that it was
too early to say who the exhumed victims were as no clothes, objects or personal
documents had been found which could lead towards their identification.
The Zlatarica site near Bugojno was under the control of the Bosnia-Hercegovina
Army during the entire duration of the war and, near the mass graves, there used
to be a mujahedin camp.
