ISLAMIST SUICIDE ATTACK THREAT AGAINST BOSNIAN
SERB ENTITY, EXPERT TELLS DAILY
BBC Monitoring International Reports - August 11, 2007, Saturday
Text of report by Bosnian Serb news agency SRNA
Banja Luka, 11 August: There is real danger of Islamist suicide attacks against
the [Bosnian] Serb Republic (RS), Slobodan Radulj, expert on international
terrorism issues [and former member of Bosnia-Hercegovina's anti-terrorist task
force], has maintained.
"This is confirmed by the evermore poisonous speeches by certain imams of the
Islamic Community in the West, who do not refrain from openly threatening terror
attacks against the RS," Radulj said in an interview for [Belgrade-based] daily
Press.
He further points out that the imams in the West when addressing their believers
speak of Serbs as occupiers in Banja Luka and other places in the RS where they
[Serbs] form the majority.
Radulj singles out the views of Imam Ahmed Dzinovic, who holds his services in
Graz in Austria, as especially dangerous as he often likens the conflict between
Palestinians and Israelis with the situation in B-H.
According to him, the constant demands for the abolition of the RS, put forward
by [Party for B-H leader and B-H Presidency member] Haris Silajdzic and
extremist Bosniak [Bosnian Muslim] politicians, represent the political
preparations for terror attacks.
Radulj warned that it was finally time for the RS to realize the danger posed by
extremist Islamic organizations, underlining that the problems of Islamic terror
and Wahhabism are talked about more in other countries than in B-H.
