HUNDREDS OF KOSOVO ALBANIANS REPORTEDLY SET TO JOIN MACEDONIAN REBELS
SRNA - September 10, 2003

Skopje - Hundreds of uniformed and well-armed Kosovo Albanians are on their way to Macedonia to join fellow Albanian rebels in northern Macedonia, the Skopje-based Dnevnik (daily) reports, citing intelligence sources in the Macedonian Defence Ministry.

NATO representatives in Kosovo and the command of the EU Concordia mission have been informed about this but they have not confirmed the report, SRNA's correspondent from Skopje reports. Macedonian Defence Ministry spokesman Marjan Djurovski told SRNA this morning that Macedonian Army soldiers had not registered any illegal crossings of the border between Macedonia and Serbia-Montenegro in the Kosovo area.

"The situation is normal and our border units are in control of the situation . No illegal crossing of the border has been registered," Djurovski said.
