BBC Monitoring International Reports - October 6, 2004

Kosovska Vitina, 6 October: Unknown persons today at 1500 (1300 gmt) threw a hand grenade at Nebojsa Przic and his mother Dusanka while they were digging up potatoes in a field situated about 500 metres away from the (ethnically) mixed village of Mogila, in the Kosovska Vitina municipality, SRNA's Kosmet (Kosovo-Metohija) correspondent has reported.

Nebojsa and his mother were not injured, while Dusanka maintains she noticed two young men and that she threw herself at her son when the bomb exploded several metres away.

Three years ago in the same spot, Nebojsa's father Borislav died after a hand grenade exploded.

Following today's terrorist attack, Mogila locals reported the incident to the international police, but the Kosovo Police Service carried out the investigation, arriving at the scene of the crime at 1530 (1330 gmt).
