Prizren, 12 October: Ethnic Turkish lawyer Ibis Cakali, 54, was killed in
Prizren last night, Kosovo police have confirmed.
"The police had found the wounded Cakali in the Ortokol district of Prizren,
from where he was rushed to hospital, where he died of his wounds," Kosovo
police spokesman Bujar Zurljali told reporters.
He said that Cakali had been hit in a drive-by shooting.
The deceased lawyer was a member of the presidency of the Turkish Democratic
Party.
The party president, Mahir Jagljilar, told SRNA that he hoped that Cakali's
political affiliation and nationality were not the motive for the killing.
