Tel Aviv, 5 November: Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic has said today
after a meeting with the top state Israeli leaders that a precondition for a
lasting peace in Kosovo is for the Albanian side to accept the UN Charter on
inalienability of borders, RTS [Serbian Radio-TV] has reported.
"A condition of all conditions for reaching a lasting peace is for the Albanian
majority to accept the UN Charter. If they do so, our delegation will approach
negotiations [on Kosovo's status] with willingness to compromise to the
maximum," Draskovic said during a joint news conference, adding that Serbia
seeks Israel's support for its stance.
