NATO TROOPS IN KOSOVO
STEP UP SECURITY FOLLOWING TIP-OFF

Pristina - Kfor (Kosovo Force) forces
have been reinforced since this morning after the UNMIK (UN Mission in
Kosovo) police received an anonymous
tip-off last night that a terrorist attack could be carried out against a peace
mission facility, a SRNA correspondent has reported.
SRNA has learned at the UNMIK HQ that according to the tip-off, received at 1900
(1800 gmt), the attack could be carried out over the next 72 hours. Reinforced
Kfor forces in combat vehicles are guarding the approaches to the main UN
building housing the office of the Kosovo civilian administrator, Harri Holkeri.
Kfor members are patrolling all road junctions in the centre of Pristina, while
Kosovo police, assisted by international police, are guarding approaches to the
town.
