Kosovo police deactivate roadside bomb near Serb monastery

Banjska, 15 December: An explosive device was discovered at 1245 [1145 gmt] on the access road to the Banjska monastery, off the Kosovska Mitrovica-Leposavic motorway, the Banjska monastery reported today.

Members of the Kosovo Police (KPS) and Kfor [NATO-led Kosovo Force] blocked the road leading to the monastery as well as the motorway itself.

The road was unblocked at 1800 [1700 gmt] when the device was deactivated, while the Kfor and police presence has been beefed up.
