AROUND 1,800 BOSNIANS HAVE "SOME KIND OF" TERRORIST LINKS - SERB POLICE CHIEF

Belgrade, 20 December: The [Bosnian] Serb Republic Minister of Internal Affairs Darko Matijasevic has said that 1,800 persons in Bosnia have some kind of terrorist links.

According to Matijasevic, 800 of them were granted Bosnian citizenship after arriving from Islamic states and 1,000 are native [Bosnians].

Matijasevic also told [the Belgrade-based daily] Vecernje novosti that the problem of cooperation with the Hague tribunal would be resolved soon but that he could not comment on deadlines or make any promises. [Passage omitted]
