MACEDONIAN MINISTER SAYS OPERATION FOR ARREST OF ARMED GANGS UNDER WAY

PRESENTER: An operation is under way and there will be results, Interior Minister Hari Kostov said in response to the question of what the police are doing with regard to the arrest of (commanders) Breza and Cakalla's armed criminal gangs.

KOSTOV: The operation is going according to plan. I think you cannot expect us to give daily statements on what is happening. You will be informed of the results. (Passage omitted)

REPORTER: There are also some reports that ethnic Albanian police officers allegedly do not want to serve in the crisis regions. Is this true?

KOSTOV: So far no Interior Ministry official has received any request for relocation.
