SALARIES IN SERBIA DROP BY 18 PER CENT IN JANUARY

Belgrade, 21 February: The average January net salary in Serbia amounted to 9,468 dinars and its real value was lower by 18.39 and nominal 18.06 per cent than the December salary, the Serbian Statistics Bureau said on Friday 21 February .

Industrial workers had lower income than those employed in administration. The average income of those employed in the industry amounted to 9,092 dinars and its real value was lower by 13.87 per cent, while the average salary in administration amounted to 10,580 dinars and its real value was lower by 27.68 per cent.

The average gross income in Serbia amounted to 13,659 dinars in January and its real value was lower by 18.26 and nominal by 17.93 per cent. The average gross income in the industry amounted to 13,108 and in administration to 15,291 dinars. (1 euro exchanges for about 60 dinars).
