Police detain Goran Matic and Uros Suvakovic

17:07 BELGRADE , March 29 (Tanjug) - The police on Saturday detained and questioned Goran Matic and Uros Suvakovic, the closest political associates of Mirjana Markovic, on suspicion of possessing information about the murder of former Serbian Presidency President Ivan Stambolic, the Serbian Interior Ministry has announced.
Former JUL top official Ivan Markovic was released after being questioned.

19:21 BELGRADE , March 29 (Tanjug) - As part of the investigation for resolving the most serious crimes and collecting evidence with the aim of arresting those who ordered, instigated and aided them, the police brought in for questioning Bogoljub Bjelica, one of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic's closest associates, the Serbian Interior Ministry announced Saturday evening.

The police detained Bjelica, against whom charges were rised in April 2001, together with his accomplices, for organizing a large group of persons who used firearms in an attempt to prevent the arrest of Milosevic, a statement said.
