10:40 CACAK , April 1 (Tanjug) - In view of the fact that New Serbia (NS) has been excluded from DOS and that papers have been writing about the connections NS leader Velimir Ilic has with the underground, Ilic has said that it is true he "knows many people from the underground."

"It is true that I know a lot of people from the underground, but it is (also) true that we could not have carried out the overthrow on October 5, 2000 with academics, university professors and eminent public and cultural workers, but rather with people with a murky past and behaviour," Ilic told the Cacak TV late on Monday.
